Information provided under Article 14 of the UK GDPR, and of the EU GDPR where you are in the EU or EEA — the rule that applies when an organisation holds your data but did not get it from you. The article numbers are identical under both.

From a public procurement notice that a contracting authority published on an official government portal — Contracts Finder or Find a Tender — under the Open Government Licence. You, or the organisation you work for, supplied those contact details to that portal so that suppliers could get in touch about that procurement.
We take what is published, exactly as published. We never construct, guess, infer or buy a contact detail, and we never combine your data with any other source.
A team or department email address, and a department telephone number where the notice published one beside it. The name of the organisation. Nothing else. No home address, no mobile number, no personal phone number, and nothing about you outside your professional role.
Where a notice names an individual, we take no contact details from it at all. Not the address, not the number. That is a deliberate rule and it applies everywhere we operate. If you are a named contact on a public tender notice, your details are not in our data.
Outside the UK and Ireland this is the only kind of contact we hold, because Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Denmark and others require prior consent for unsolicited business-to-business contact and we do not have it. A published team inbox for tender enquiries is not personal data and engages none of that.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f). Our interest, and our customers' interest, is in specialist contractors being able to reach the right team about a live construction project. Your interest is what we balanced that against.
The balance rests on a simple point: the contact detail was published on a public notice for the express purpose of receiving enquiries about that procurement, and that is the only thing it is used for here. We considered whether you would reasonably expect this and concluded that you would, because it is the purpose the notice exists to serve.
We treat details as unusable, and hold nothing at all, where the notice names an individual, where the published contact is a personal address such as a Gmail or Yahoo account, where the number is a mobile, or where the organisation is a sole trader or unincorporated partnership rather than a company or public body.
A customer who buys the specific lead your project appears in. Before they buy, they must separately confirm that they understand they become an independent data controller for those details and are responsible for their own compliance with the UK GDPR and PECR — including identifying themselves, keeping contact relevant to that project, and offering an opt-out in every message they send.
Until the tender deadline passes, the contract completes, or the notice is cancelled — whichever comes first. At that point the lead is withdrawn from sale and the contact details are deleted on the next rebuild. We keep records of completed purchases for six years because company law requires it, but those records are not used to contact anyone.
You can object to this processing at any time and we will stop — that is what the form at the top of this page does. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Email privacy@tradello.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your own national supervisory authority.
We store your objection as a one-way SHA-256 hash of your address. That means we can keep recognising and honouring it indefinitely without ever storing the address itself. Every rebuild of our data checks that list and strips any matching contact before a lead is published.
